I have been successfully
running my Locum Dental Nurse Service, in the Somerset, Dorset
and Devon areas now for over 11 years.
I gained my National Certificate qualification in 1978, and I
have been constantly working as a Dental Nurse since 1974. I am
and have been registered with the General Dental Council since
June 2008.
I am so pleased to have started my own Locum Dental Nurse
business as I love being a Locum Nurse, enabling me to help lots
of practices, have a large variety of work and meet different
people. I especially enjoy working with nervous patients, and I
do my very best to talk to them and give reassure at all times.
I have had lovely comments from patients (and also dentists) who
thank me for my input when its most needed.
I am used to working in Private and NHS practices enjoying all
aspects of dentistry. I have also gained experience in
Orthodontics
and implantology.
For relaxation, I enjoy cycling, tennis, going to the theatre,
and reading, and practicing my new found skill (!), of learning
how to play Bridge, which I am enjoying, but beginning to
understand, it is a lifetime of learning.
Meet my team...

I’m Debbie, I have enjoyed
being a qualified Registered Dental Nurse for 12 years, working
in general practice.
This coincides with my skills
as a hypnotherapist helping me to relax and reassure nervous
patients. In the past year I have taken on the role as
tutor/assessor delivering the NVQ in dental nursing which has
become a diploma, I find this very rewarding. |

Hi I'm Ruth, I have been a
Registered Dental Nurse for just under 10 years.
I have achieved my
qualification in Radiography and Oral Health Education. I am
also trained advisor for smoking cessation and within the last
year qualified to apply fluoride applications. I enjoy agency
nursing, it provides me with more experience and variety.
Out of work I enjoy walking my
dog, being with my granddaughter, catching up with my friends
and planning my next holiday!

My name is Zainab, I'm a GDC
registered dental nurse, and have been qualified since 2007. I
qualified in dental radiography in 2009, and have undergone
first aid training.
I am hoping to increase my
knowledge and skills and do further courses such as implants and
sedation. I enjoy dental nursing, as I'm a practical person, and
love being an agency nurse enabling me to travel to different
practices, learn new skills, and meet new people along the way.
I am an active person, and
enjoy sports in my leisure, looking after animals (I live on a
farm), learning languages, and cooking. I recently got a food
hygiene certificate, enabling me to cater at public events. I
hope to continue doing more courses in the future, enabling me
to progress within the field of dentistry.
